FROM BEAUTY COLLEGE TO SUCCESSFUL BEAUTY ENTREPRENEUR
At Everlasting Atelier, we are passionate about our Artists and love to hear their amazing success stories! This month we spoke to Senay Listhrop, Founder of Haus of Beaute in Leicester, UK. Senay is a very talented Lash & Brow Artist who has been working in the beauty industry for over 19 years.
From studying at Beauty College to becoming a successful Beauty Entrepreneur, Senay discusses her career highlights, why she lives for the moment and how undertaking an Elleebana Masterclass during lockdown took her Lash Lift & Brow Henna treatments to the next level!
What did you do before you entered the Lash & Brow Industry?
I have always been into beauty since I was young, from painting my nails to looking after my skin, so as soon as I left school, I studied beauty and have been working in the beauty industry ever since!
What inspired you to become a Lash & Brow Artist?
In Beauty College you learn all the basics, but as time and treatments develop, it is important that you keep up with everything, so I just progressed to offer what I could see would be a hit at the time!
What training did you undertake with Elleebana?
I undertook an Elleebana Masterclass during lockdown, which inspired me to become an Elleebana Lash & Brow Artist.
How did the Elleebana training courses advance your career?
The Elleebana Masterclass really helped me elevate my lash lift and brow henna treatments, as it enabled me to gain much more knowledge and confidence within those treatments.
What has been your key career highlight as a Lash & Brow Artist?
My key career highlight as a Lash & Brow Artist is seeing the incredible ‘before’ and ‘after’ results of a lash and brow treatment. It is always such an amazing transformation that literally speaks for itself! I also love connecting with all the amazing people on social media!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
I never like to look too far ahead, as I like to live in the moment! I have lots of goals that I want to achieve, I’m currently renovating the salon, taking on more staff and offering more treatments. I also have goals outside of the beauty industry too that I would like to reach, but with a baby due in a few weeks we will see how that progresses!
What is the best career advice you can give to new artists entering the Lash & Brow industry?
The best career advice I can give to new artists entering the Lash & Brow industry is never give up! Offer free services until you are happy being able to understand the treatment and learn from your own mistakes! Don’t compare yourself to others, or else you will try to copy, rather than finding yourself and what works for you!
